Online Retailer Kits Reports First-Quarter Order Growth Continues With Double-Digit Increase Year-Over-Year

(TSX: KITS) reported this week that in the first quarter it delivered over 46,000 eyeglasses orders to patients, and 148,000 total eyecare orders to patients “despite supply chain headwinds.” At the same time, Kits reported that its overall gross margin rate increased, quarter-over-quarter, between 150 and 200 basis points, sequentially. Kits, which is led by investor and chief executive officer Roger Hardy, completed its initial public offering in January 2021 and now reports quarterly financial results.

Eyemart Express and Cedar Springs Vision Report Results of ‘Recycling’ Partnership for Frames in North Texas

The charity operates a need-based optical shop in Dallas in conjunction with Cedar Springs Eye Clinic, a satellite clinic of the University of Houston College of Optometry, that provides eye exams to more than 25,000 people from community organizations such as Dallas Housing Authority, Interfaith Family Services and Salvation Army.

(SFL.IM) reported Thursday that preliminary net sales in 2021 totaled €969.6 million, an increase of 26.3 percent at constant exchange rates and 24.3 percent at current exchange rates compared with the sales of €780.3 million recorded in 2020, “a year heavily penalized by the lockdowns and business restrictions imposed to contain the Covid-19 pandemic,” as the company noted in its announcement. “This strong business rebound also allowed the Group to significantly exceed the net sales registered in 2019, recording a growth of 7.5 percent at constant exchange rates and 3.3 percent at current exchange rates. Organic sales represented the main growth driver compared to the pre-pandemic business levels, up around 10 percent at constant exchange rates versus 2019," the announcement noted.
