Chanel and Luxottica Announce Renewed License Agreement

Wednesday, October 23, 2019 12:21 AM PARIS and MILAN—Chanel and Luxottica have announced the early renewal of an exclusive licensing agreement for the development, production, and worldwide distribution of sunglasses and prescription frames under the Chanel brand name. It is a five-year agreement, which will come into effect on January 1, 2020 and run until December 31, 2024. It also includes a possibility for renewal for a period of three years, from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027.

This month, Sunglass Hut and the actress teamed up to unveil an exclusive collaborative collection—a signature sunglass style, designed by Parker, and available in five different colorways. She explained, “I owned a pair of shield shaped sunglasses in the 90s that I absolutely loved, and I was so sad when they were discontinued.”
