a leader in sport performance and optical innovation, this week launched the brand’s 2020 NFL campaign, “We Shape the Future,” which honors “the dominant on-field performances of Team Oakley’s football athletes and their influential and steadfast leadership off the field,” according to the announcement. The campaign is headlined by the NFL players Patrick Mahomes II and Lamar Jackson and features JuJu Smith-Schuster, Derwin James Jr., Aaron Jones and Trevon Diggs. The latter two players are billed as “new young faces” in what Oakley says is an “already star-studded lineup of Oakley football athletes.” Jones is a running back with the Green Bay Packers and Diggs is a rookie cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys.

have announced a license agreement for the creation, production and distribution, globally, of both sunglasses and optical frames. The companies said the license takes effect immediately and the launch of the first collection is expected for the second half of 2021. The Philipp Plein eyewear collections will be distributed worldwide through the De Rigo sales network and in the brand’s boutique stores. NEW YORK—Eyewear and sunwear companies, along with makers of PPE, sustainable products and a range of other fashion accessory categories, were announced yesterday as the finalists for the 2nd annual Design Excellence Awards of the Accessories Council
. The finalists were selected by the Council's board of directors based on the criteria of excellence in design, unique appearance and/or function, consumer needs addressed by product, aesthetics, innovative materials, market positioning and other factors. The final winners in each category will be selected by popular vote and the winners will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 3rd, when they will each receive a trophy designed by Marchon Eyewear. Voting for the Final honorees in all categories is now open to the public, and that voting can be done here

upcoming Design Excellence Awards. The deadline is July 26 in the program which was announced earlier this year and reported by VMAIL
