NEW YORK—Collaborative. Confident. Accomplished. Supportive. These are the characteristics that describe this year’s “class” of Vision Monday’s Most Influential Women. Today, Vision Monday is announcing its 2023 roster of 51 women of accomplishment, who were selected by VM’s editors from several hundreds of submissions. All are leaders who are contributing their many talents to the optical business and vision care field in many ways. They join hundreds of women in prior years who have been recognized for their work and contributions.

This edition will mark the 21st year of our Special Report. This year’s group of Influential Women is made up of executives, sales and marketing professionals, ECPs, administrators, researchers and teachers. This eclectic mix is emblematic of the broad reach of women in our industry and indicative of how deeply they are embedded in its fabric.

For this year’s Annual Report, VM considered women who are making a difference in the following five categories: Executive Suite, Mentors, Rising Stars, Innovators and Above & Beyond.

We invite you to meet these “PowHERful!” optical achievers and join us in celebrating their varied skills and accomplishments. To read this year’s full report click here.

This year, Vision Monday will be hosting a special luncheon event and program to pay tribute to this year's roster of 2023 Most Influential Women (MIW) in Optical on Sept. 29 during Vision Expo West in Las Vegas. These women, along with many prior year MIW honorees and other guests, will be celebrated at the special event in Las Vegas.

The program will also feature a dynamic guest keynote speaker, Dr. Simone Bhan Ahuja, a best-selling author, Harvard Business Review contributor and business school advisor who will speak about innovation and "intrepreneurship" to the audience. More about Ahuja and a special message from her about the appearance at VM's Sept. 29 event are posted here.

For the luncheon event, Visionary Sponsors include: Alcon, EssilorLuxottica and Johnson & Johnson Vision. Partner Sponsors include: The Vision Council, Vision Expo, VSP Vision and Walmart.
