BOSTON—New England College of Optometry (NECO) and Sector Media Group are launching a new online YouTube series, "InsideVision," and the inaugural episode of the online broadcast will air Wednesday, April 15 at 8:30 a.m. EDT. Brown joined IDOC, based in Norwalk, Conn., in 2014 and today the alliance continues to grow, offering unique practice solutions for the independent ODs. Prior to joining IDOC, Brown had a successful 23-year career at Johnson & Johnson starting in marketing and ascending to roles where he led teams and organizations that launched innovative products globally. Among the highlights of his tenure in marketing: OTC products (Tylenol products), Rx and OTC dermatology (Neutrogena) and global vision care (Acuvue contact lenses).

Bracy recently retired from Essilor, which he joined in 2004. While CMO there, he also served as president of fully owned subsidiaries, on the board of Transitions Optical, and on the global executive committee of Essilor. Prior to joining Essilor, Bracy had 18 years of marketing and brand management experience at Procter and Gamble, Verizon and TXU Energy. In retirement, Bracy serves as director of education at Prison Entrepreneur Program, a non-profit in the area of restorative justice.

Stated Dr. Purcell, "These are two of the smartest marketing minds in the industry. Utilizing live streaming video, we look forward to bringing business insights from the best and brightest minds inside and outside of the eyecare field on our shows,” said Purcell. Citing the current coronavirus crisis, he added, “We are driven by the idea that how practitioners and other operators act today, will impact outcomes and likely growth trajectories for the next two years.”

“Small business operators in general, and in particular medical practitioners, are required on a daily basis to work ‘in’ their businesses as opposed to ‘on’ them. The current disruption brings challenges, but also opportunities to plan for beneficial adjustments. We hope the show helps highlight for viewers ways to stay focused, positive, and moving forward,” said Liljegren.

InsideVision will air on a dedicated YouTube channel. Episodes will be recorded and remain online for replay at any time, he noted.
