AUSTIN, Texas—VisionWeb has added several new features and integrations to their EHR and practice management software, Uprise. A cloud-based software, Uprise enables optometrists to manage their patient data, optical products, e-prescriptions, insurance claims and revenue under one cloud-based solution.

Among the features, VisionWeb has unveiled a redesigned and elevated Uprise patient scheduler. The improved scheduler has drag and drop features; making it easy to extend, shorten, or reschedule an appointment time for another day. The new calendar maximizes any practice’s schedule, by offering both daily and weekly views, the ability to only display office hours and working days, and create appointment templates in five-minute increments.

Along with the new scheduler, VisionWeb also released a new and improved patient portal. The new patient portal helps practices go paperless and reduce patient waiting time by uploading documents that patients can electronically sign prior to their appointment. The portal also allows practices to share educational content directly with patients, helping them better understand their diagnoses and treatments.

On top of the new product features, VisionWeb reports that the GPN Technologies platform, EDGEPro, is now an embedded tool with all of their Uprise packages. The EDGEPro integration offers Uprise users easy access to track over 50 Key Performance Indicators and metrics within their practice data. EDGEPro joins other Uprise embedded tools including patient recall and reminders, video-based patient education, frame catalogs, code verification and e-prescribing.
