RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—VSP Vision has announced that it has been named to the 2024 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care List by Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine. This is the first time VSP Vision has received recognition in the Health Care category, the company stated. “It is an honor to be named as a 2024 Best Workplaces in Health Care, especially as this recognition is determined based on employee feedback,” said Kristi Cappelletti-Matthews, VSP Vision chief human resources officer. “This recognition is really about our employees, who bring to life our purpose of empowering human potential through sight each and every day.”

The Best Workplaces in Health Care List is highly competitive, according to a statement from VSP. Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture, determines its lists using its proprietary for all methodology to evaluate and certify thousands of organizations in America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study. This is based on over 1.3 million survey responses and data from companies representing more than 8.2 million employees this year alone.

Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience, the company noted. In April, 81 percent of employees surveyed said VSP Vision is a great workplace. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for employees regardless of job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, work status or other demographic identifiers.

“Congratulations to the Best Workplaces in Health Care,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “These companies not only outperform the average for their industry but have created workplaces that outshine the average in every category, proving the importance of building trust with workers, no matter the industry.”
