Charlie Biegel.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.—VSP Vision announced today that it has promoted Charlie Biegel to president of Eyefinity, a VSP Vision company that provides cloud-based practice management and electronic health records solutions to the eyecare industry. He will report to Scott Hopeck, VSP Vision’s chief commercial officer. Since 2014, Biegel has served as chief operating officer of Eyefinity and previously served as chief technology officer. “For over a decade, Charlie’s leadership, technology expertise and customer-centric mindset have helped elevate Eyefinity’s suite of solutions to meet the changing needs of eyecare practices,” said Hopeck.

“He is the right leader to carry Eyefinity’s growth forward and continue serving eyecare professionals with solutions that support their success and deliver great patient experiences,” Hopeck said.

Prior to joining Eyefinity, Biegel held various senior leadership roles in the telecommunications, internet services and technology sectors, including at AOL and Motient. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Siena College and a master’s degree in software systems engineering from George Mason University. Biegel succeeds Chris Enslin, the company stated, who made the decision to retire after serving as Eyefinity’s president since 2020. Prior to that, Enslin served as chief information officer of Visionworks from 2018 to 2020.

“As a values-driven technology leader, we appreciate the many contributions Chris made across our organization,” said Hopeck. “After a nearly 40-year career, his retirement is well-deserved, and we wish him all the best.”
