PEOPLE EyeCare Partners Names Mark Barron as Chief Growth Officer By Staff Friday, April 12, 2024 12:24 AM Mark Barron. ST. LOUIS—EyeCare Partners, a provider of clinically integrated eyecare, has announced that Mark Barron has been named chief growth officer. He will focus on developing and executing comprehensive strategies to expand the company’s patient base, identify new revenue opportunities and support care teams in the continual delivery of an exceptional patient experience. In this role, Barron will lead teams across the company’s growth organization, including marketing, managed care, credentialing, the patient engagement center and business development. “The role of a chief growth officer will leverage a more comprehensive approach to reach our next level of expansion and sustainable growth, uniting like growth and growth operations departments to build greater alignment and focus,” said Chris Throckmorton, chief executive officer. “Since joining EyeCare Partners in its formative years, Mark has supported the company’s transformation from a high-reputation regional player into a national industry leader. We look forward to Mark’s continued leadership in his new role.” Barron said, “There is a substantial benefit in bringing together complementary growth departments under one umbrella, particularly in a business and macroenvironment where rate of change is accelerating as is complexity. Our ability to effectively allocate resources more quickly and with higher precision will be critical to our success. I am thrilled to partner with my expanded team to deliver on our strategic growth objectives.” Most recently, Barron was senior vice president of business development and doctor partnerships, and in that capacity he led inorganic and non-core growth strategies across the enterprise. Before EyeCare Partners, Barron was an investment professional at The Riverside Company, a leading middle market private equity firm with $14 billion in assets under management, focused on acquiring and growing businesses in health care, industrial, consumer and technology industries. He also worked as an investment banker at Harris Williams in the U.S. and UK. Barron holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics from the University of Dayton. EyeCare Partners’ national network includes more than 300 ophthalmologists and 700 optometrists. Its more than 700 ECP-affiliated practice locations provide services that span the eyecare continuum in 18 states and 30 markets.
