Hi-Health Launches New Division to Market Eye Nutraceuticals Under Vista Brand

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Hi-Health, a Scottsdale-based maker of nutraceuticals, has launched a vision care division to make and market a new line of products under the Vista brand. The new division, Hi-Health Eye Care, is headed by Hi-Health CEO Jay Chopra. It formulates, produces and distributes non-prescription OTC eye products such as artificial tears and lid cleansers for dry eye as well as ocular nutraceuticals. Formulated by eye doctors and industry experts to support ocular wellness and visual function, the initial product offering includes artificial tears, and tea tree oil-based lid cleansing products.

These are combined with a family of advanced macular and dry eye supplements to support ocular health throughout a patient’s lifespan, according to Hi-Health Eye Care.

Although Vista products are considered non-prescription therapies, each has been assigned an NDC number linking it to Hi-Health’s licensed pharmacy. The result is a greater level of control by eyecare practitioners of treatment recommendations, leading to enhanced patient outcomes, the company said.

“We often hear from doctors that the products their patients purchase at retail are not consistent with the treatment recommendation that was prescribed,” explained Jay Chopra. “Our unique business model puts control back in the doctor’s hands, ensuring better patient outcomes and better overall patient satisfaction.”

Through Hi-Health Eye Care, doctors can seamlessly integrate Vista products into their practices. The company said it has streamlined the process so doctors can order its products through their EHR system, just as medications are currently prescribed.

Hi-Health’s customer service professionals contact each patient on behalf of their doctor, verify treatment recommendations and ship the order directly to the patient’s home or office. Subscription services are available for those who need to be on a treatment for an extended period.
