DALLAS and LOS ANGELES—The Eye Consortium (TEC), an alliance group of independent eyecare practitioners and industry leading suppliers and vendors, has announced that they recently completed a portfolio expansion of 15 new supplier partners, including SALT., Charmant, Maximeyes, Fast-Pay Health, Akrinos, Optify, Chip-in, PayrollCentric, Nordic Naturals, TC Charton, Laibach & York, Aerial Vision US, Modern Optical and Nathalie Blanc. The group advised that this rollout of new supplier partners represents a significant addition to its suite of services and suppliers, broadening the range of solutions and exclusive offers that allow their members to remain independent and find success.

“We already had a robust portfolio of leading independent suppliers in the eyecare industry with Zeiss Vision, Alcon, Zeiss Meditec, Modo, Lafont, and Kering, just to name a few. These additional relationships add even more opportunities to keep our practices independent, and differentiated, and significantly increase profitability,” said Dr. Matthew Alpert, OD, and co-founder of TEC.

This current release of new vendor partnerships, TEC added, was carefully curated and thoughtful to embrace the independent nature of TEC’s philosophy.

“Our comprehensive suite of solutions now allows independent practices to exclusively utilize the TEC supply chain," said Dr. Robert Chu, OD, and co-founder of TEC. "We can offer industry-leading products and services for our patients and practices, while also feeling great about supporting like-minded suppliers who support us.”

The pair formed the company with the singular purpose of bringing together and highlighting leading independent suppliers and independent doctors to help each other flourish and better compete in the marketplace, the company stated, advising that its collaborative mindset has made TEC one of the fastest-growing doctor groups in the eyecare industry.

“TEC’s value proposition speaks for itself. To join TEC, there are no membership fees and no long-term contracts. We want to be the alliance group doctors are excited to join because they will receive the most value while supporting independent suppliers. That’s why we formed TEC, to help us all succeed together,” Dr. Chu and Dr. Alpert said in a joint statement.
