ST. LOUIS—EyeCare Partners (ECP), a leading provider of clinically integrated eyecare, announced that it has expanded its presence in Northern Ohio through a partnership with Novus Clinic, Corrective Eye Center and Retina Specialists of Ohio (RSO). The terms of the transactions were not disclosed. Additionally, the company plans to build a new ambulatory surgery center as well as a 16-exam lane clinic, both of which will be dedicated to supporting the eyecare of Cleveland area patients beginning in 2023.

As part of ECP’s expansion in Northern Ohio, the network also welcomes Kristina Thomas, MD, an expert in the corneal and cataract field, who will be practicing out of Novus Clinic and Corrective Eye Center.

“As EyeCare Partners continues to grow, we remain focused on providing seamless care for all patient needs from comprehensive eye exams to specialty surgery," said Kari Holloway, PhD, ECP’s ophthalmology division president. “Novus Clinic, Corrective Eye Center and Retina Specialists of Ohio are three specialty practices that will further support our goal of providing the best service to patients. Additionally, with Dr. Kristina Thomas joining our network we continue to strengthen our expertise in cornea and cataract surgery, further underscoring our commitment to elevating eyecare across every specialty. We’re excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

Dr. Thomas is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a highly regarded eyecare provider with over a decade of practice experience. “I’m pleased to join ECP in a role that allows me to bring my corneal and cataract expertise to a group of elite practice partners providing top-notch eyecare services that meet the needs of our diverse, local communities," said Dr. Thomas. “The ECP network continues to rapidly grow and innovate, and I look forward to working together with this team to make a significant impact on patient care.”
