CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.—ABB Optical, a leader in the eyecare services industry, has announced the appointment of Daniel Liberman as chief executive officer, effective Feb. 1. Liberman will assume the role held by Tom Burke, who will become co-chairman of the board of directors. An announcement from ABB Optical stated, "During Tom Burke's five-year tenure as CEO, ABB has gone from the leading contact lens distributor to a full eyecare solutions platform offering ophthalmic laboratory services and practice optimization software."

Burke commented, "I have known Daniel for many years, and worked closely with him the past year as a member of the board of directors. As we finish 2023 strongly and look at an even better 2024, it is an opportune time for Daniel to begin his leadership of ABB. I would like to thank every ABB team member who has made the last five years leading the company so special."

Liberman brings with him a wealth of experience from senior management positions at WS Audiology and EssilorLuxottica. Liberman said, "I am honored to join ABB Optical and build upon the strong foundation laid by Tom. Together with the exceptional team at ABB Optical, we will continue to deliver outstanding service to our eyecare professional partners and drive positive change in this dynamic industry."
