NEW YORK—In order to be representative of those ODs who will be entering the workforce in the next few years, Women In Optometry has created a WO Student Advisory board. To date, one student from each of 17 schools or colleges of optometry is participating; more may be added to serve for a year-long term. "Having a more robust conversation with students will allow Women In Optometry to foster more connections within this group and within the profession. Including student's views and perspectives in Women In Optometry even before they graduate can help deliver an important perspective to the WO community," said Marjolijn Bijlefeld, WO editor-in-chief.

Meet the 17 students who have agreed to share their perspectives, enthusiasms and concerns—and maybe find a mentor among WO readers along the way.
