LINZ, Austria— Silhouette International and Adidas have extended their current licensing agreement, first signed 22 years ago, for an additional five years to now include the sub-brand “Performance,” effective until the end of 2019.

"We invest in our licensed brand and in the company we deliberately focus on only two brands to deliver top performance—Silhouette and Adidas,” said Daniel Rogger, CEO of Silhouette International. “In our future collaboration with Adidas, we will therefore be focusing exclusively on the "Performance" segment and will no longer continue to offer the Adidas Originals range."

The Austrian specialist in premium eyewear—still family-owned—will continue to set standards in sports eyewear under the Adidas brand, the company added. The eyewear is currently produced at the company's sites here and in Trhové Sviny, Czech Republic.
