LONDON –Mondottica and Zoobug London, a British children’s eyewear specialist, have announced a strategic partnership as well as the creation of an international children’s eyewear division.

This new partnership involves a long-term license and services agreement and will give Mondottica the opportunity to expand its portfolio of children’s collections which already include Joules Pepe Jeans and Ted Baker Kids. The international children’s division will be under the guidance of Dr. Julie Diem Le, Zoobug founder and eye surgeon. She will serve as director.

“Zoobug is delighted to join Mondottica as a strategic partner in the creation of a world-class Children’s Eyewear

Division, the first of its kind at the forefront of children’s eyewear R&D,” Le said. “This is also a great opportunity to grow the Zoobug brand through Mondottica’s established global distribution network and strengthen its position as a key innovator in the children’s marketplace, alongside the fast-expanding portfolio of licensed fashion and lifestyle brands that Mondottica has built in recent years.”

As a part of the agreement, Zoobug’s premium optical and sun collections for girls and boys will be distributed worldwide by Mondottica with immediate effect. This will allow the brand to gain exposure in the U.K., European, U.S., Asian, Australian and Latin American markets. However, distribution to leading fashion retailers that include Harrods, Fenwicks, LVR (Italy), Kids 21 (Singapore) and Harvey Nichols (Hong Kong) will continue to be overseen by Le.
