NEW YORK—Modo’s Buy a Frame—Help a Child See program works to provide early detection and intervention necessary for children in underprivileged areas that need help the most.

The project, which is fully sponsored by Modo and in partnership with the Seva Foundation, provides free vision screenings and teacher training as well as optometrist exams and when needed free prescription glasses or free corrective treatments and surgeries.

Earlier this year, Modo CEO, Alessandro Lanaro traveled with representatives from the Seva Foundation to the outskirts of Delhi in order to review and photograph the work that was being done through Modo’s social responsibility pledge. His experiences helped shaped this new initiative.

“My time in India visiting schools in underprivileged areas gave me a first-hand look at how Modo can help the children who need it most. With Seva Foundation’s partnership, our Buy a Frame—Help a Child See program will give the next generation in need the opportunity to succeed,” Lanaro said.

Modo has pledged to help 200,000 children in the program’s first stage. To learn more about Modo’s Buy a Frame—Help a Child See program click here.
