PORT CHESTER, N.Y.—Zyloware Eyewear has announced that Gilda Mehraban is joining Zyloware’s global sales division as director of global business development, a new role, which becomes effective on July 5. “Gilda’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes her a key addition to the Zyloware family. With our recent unprecedented growth combined with the immensely successful launch of Shaquille O’Neal Eyewear, someone of Gilda Mehraban’s caliber is exactly who we need to further our outreach throughout the optical industry,” remarked James Shyer, co-CEO and chief operating officer of Zyloware Eyewear.

Mehraban was previously the director of business development for De Rigo REM, managing and developing the company’s key accounts channel of distribution across the U.S. and Canada as well as growing revenue by identifying new business opportunities. She had been with De Rigo REM for six years as head of brand marketing. Prior to working with the company, Gilda was the director of business affairs and legal counsel for CMG Worldwide, where she oversaw marketing and legal. In that role, she was involved in both the marketing and creating licensing opportunities for approximately 200 entertainment, music, sports and historical properties.

In her new position at Zyloware, Mehraban will operate within the global sales division to identify opportunities and capture business in new markets, the company said, adding, “This newly created role requires a thorough knowledge of the optical industry competitive landscape and Zyloware’s portfolio of brands, products and services. Gilda’s innovative thinking and vision will help to enhance the strategic direction, growth and profitability of Zyloware Eyewear as the company continues to grow and expand over the next upcoming years.”
