NORWALK, Conn.—L’Amy America’s holiday charity program—Help the World to See a Better Tomorrow, Today—which ran from Sept.1 through Dec. 31, 2017 resulted in thousands of frames being donated to those in need through various charities.

Through the program, L’Amy donated a frame for every frame that was sold. VOSH International, one of the recipients, recently ran a clinic in Bolivia and was able to provide eyewear to those in need.

“Once again, L’Amy America is changing lives, this time in Bolivia. In collaboration with VOSH International, VOSH optometrists treated approximately 1,500 patients in the small rural town of Vallegrande, Bolivia during the week of March 17 to 25, 2018,” said Natalie Venezia, executive director at VOSH.

She said, “L’Amy America provided frames and sunglasses. The sunglasses were especially welcomed in this agricultural community where most men, women and children work outside and many have pterygiums. The young man in the ‘Argentina’ jacket came into the clinic and after an exam, we discovered his Rx was - 27. We happened to have that Rx and he walked out of the clinic seeing. This is just one example of why we do this and why VOSH is grateful for the continued donations of L’Amy.”
