DALLAS—Entrepreneur and eyewear designer Corinne McCormack will be the featured speaker and host of the Optical Women’s Association’s (OWA) Dec. 12 episode of “Tuesday Talks.” The episode, titled, “How I Learned to Make the Impossible Possible,” takes place at 1 p.m. EST.

McCormack is an experienced executive and entrepreneur who conceived and created a brand of designer eyewear in 1993. Today, Corinne McCormack Reading Glasses are sold in more than 2,000 stores in the U.S., including Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Barnes & Noble.

McCormack also has been active in many industry organizations and was the president and on the national board of the OWA for more than 10 years. She received the OWA's inaugural Pinnacle Award in March 2017 for her service and contributions to the industry, and she was recognized as one of VM’s Most Influential Women in Optical in 2010.

The OWA’s “Tuesday Talks” is a monthly webinar series that features savvy female leaders who discuss trending topics. Presented by the Mentoring Committee, the webinar has a duration of 30 minutes—20 minutes of talk and 10 minutes of Q&A. An archive of "Tuesday Talks," is posted on the organization’s website.
