Eye Designs Collaborates with Eco-Lite For Specialty Dispensary Lighting

More Images
Product:
Color Perfect Lighting
Top Line: A new collaboration targets what many optical stores have been missing – a ‘green’ solution to their display and merchandising needs. Optical store design and merchandising leader Eye Designs and specialty lighting manufacturer Eco-Lite Products, LLC have teamed up to introduce a line of lighting created specifically for the optical retailer.
Close Up: Eye Designs Color Perfect Lighting by Eco-Lite Products is being launched this month. It enables dispensaries to retrofit their existing light fixtures with top-of-the-line LED lamps, while stores that are yet to open can get proper lighting from the start.
Vital Stats: Eye Designs Color Perfect Lighting by Eco-Lite is offering a library of products available to optical retailers and dispensers that can be incorporated into an existing space, or specified for new buildouts and remodels. The new LED lights will replace outdated high-voltage halogen bulbs by retrofitting into the existing fixtures and have an impact on the look of the optical, while significantly lowering energy costs. The LED lights, which do not radiate heat, have a 5-year warranty and are rated for 50,000 hours. The new Eye Designs Color Perfect Lighting partnership will launch its own dedicated website soon.

Hoya Debuts Web-Based Lens Selector

Product:
Hoya Lens Selector
Top Line: Hoya Vision has created the Hoya Lens Selector, a new web-based “cool tool” which takes patients through a series questions about their lifestyle and vision needs interactive graphics which provide recommendations about the best Hoya lens solutions and points them in the direction to get their specific Hoya prescription lenses tailored at participating eyecare practices.
Close-Up: Many visitors to Hoyavision.com originate from brand name searches and spend a lot of time researching new products, so the Hoya Lens Selector has been set up to mirror an eyecare appointment questionnaire and walks patients through each question. Since one pair of lenses may not be best for all situations, Hoya has also included recommendations for specialty lenses based on unique activities, like golfing and biking. As part of the email or print-friendly recommendation, Hoya includes an ECP's location if the patient came from a link off that practice's website. If the patient came to the Hoya Lens Selector on their own, it would include Hoya eyecare provider closest to the patient, with contact information for making an appointment.
Vital Stats: Providers are encouraged by Hoya to embed the HOYA Lens Selector (found at www.choosemylens.com) on their own website as a customized tool for patients. Those doctors and practices that do embed The Hoya Lens Selector on their site will be given extra acknowledgement on their listing on the ECP locator in the form of a Badge (much like a 5-star restaurant), which highlights the doctor on the locator sight.
