We Love Eyes Launches Natural Eye Cleansing Products

Quick Take: Founded by Tanya Gill, OD, We Love Eyes, a green beauty company, has introduced eye cleansing products made with tea tree oil that are natural, non-toxic, vegan and cruelty free.
Wearer: Available products include the Tea Tree Eye Makeup Remover Oil to help women wash away waterproof and stubborn makeup, the Tea Tree Eye Cleansing Oil with a higher concentration of tea tree oil for daily cleansing of the eyelid and eye area for men, and the Tea Tree Eyelid Foaming Cleanser for those who prefer a foam cleanser that reaches deeper into the lash line.
Specifics: Made with safety and authenticity, these products are allergy, dermatologist and optometrist tested with no added dyes, coloring or fragrances.
Selling Points: According to Dr. Gill’s research, most cleansing products on the market contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), along with other chemicals that are potentially damaging to sensitive eye areas. In addition to irritating the skin, SLS is linked to cancer, neurotoxicity, organ toxicity and endocrine disruption. To remedy the issue, We Love Eyes offers products that cleanse, soothe and protect the eyes with a blend of thoughtfully-sourced ingre¬dients. Plants used include wild-harvested Australian tea tree oil with antimicrobial and anti-dandruff properties, organic family-farmed jojoba for moisturizing and cleansing, and grape seed oil from Napa Valley with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents.

SECOND LOOKS

Colors in Optics Intros Colors Juniors Collection

More Images
Quick Take: Colors in Optics, Ltd. has introduced the Colors Juniors sub-collection of new fashionable styles with corrective lenses for young adults.
Specifics: Four retro-inspired glasses crafted for smaller faces; the Pizzy, Charlie, Bensky and Morgan.
Selling Points: Colors Juniors, a sub-collection of the signature Colors In Optics, Ltd. Original Vintage Collection, features the company’s signature double pin heads and color-contrast iconic rounded tips with an inlaid logo. In multi-layered, easily cleanable laminates, the collection’s palette includes an array of vivid colors, including red, teal, yellow and magenta. Each color combination creates an ultra-hip vibe with flirty, high-toned options for girls and sleek, sophisticated looks for boys. While Colors Juniors targets the youth market, the collection has advantages for adults with petite proportions or closer set eyes, the company said. Modified dimensions allow the frames to fit easily, comfortably hug the face and are engineered to accommodate prescription fittings for smaller eyes and contours. “Our decades of experience demonstrate that one size never fits all when it comes to eyewear,” said Jade Hutton, CIO’s Colors Juniors designer. “For smaller-contoured wearers, proportion and fit are imperative. As with adult designs, youth ophthalmic frames need a custom look, complementing the face shape and features.”
