Ørgreen Releases the 2011/2012 Eyewear Collection

More Images
Quick Take: Ørgreen has introduced a massive collection of handmade frames for Winter 11/12 with a distinctive masculine approach, made more appealing to women with vibrant colors in matte finishes.
Specifics: Nine titanium and three acetate ophthalmic styles, as well as three sunglasses. The colors were inspired by the L.A. beach scene and Mexican architect Luis Barragán. The overall look is retro futuristic with industrial overtones reminiscent of the 50’s and re-interpreted in a modern way. Laser cut-outs are minimized while most of the names of the glasses come from Quentin Tarantino films for optical and international DJs for the suns.
Selling Points: In the Titanium Collection there is: The Kiddo, the smallest frame for adults and an option for kids too. The female frontrunner is the Beatrix, a light frame with a wink to Buddy Holly. A rounded rectangle, the Charmer has a soft touch that’s appealing for women. The Aldo is a unisex frame, while the Mr. White is more masculine sporting a broader nose bridge. The Razor is a unisex style with soft lines and curves, while the Gecko is a businessman’s frame with a semi-rimless design. The Vega is a unisex style that’s more unassuming than most and the Hanzo features softer corners and understated angles. In the Acetate Collection the Twister gives a new spin on 50’s style with an acetate top on a full Titanium frame. The Vincent features a graduated color scheme that starts dark on the top and ends as transparent or monotone on the bottom. The Mr. Orange is a bolder, more structured frame with substance for the modern man. In sun, the Palma Lova is a cat- eyed style with a cut-out curve accentuating the eyebrow. The Kjeld T is larger than most of the brand’s frames with a rectangular shape, sharp corners and wide temples. Rad Rice is more unisex with softer corners and a close.
