For many of us, Memorial Day weekend is the curtain raiser for the summer movie season. And this summer’s lineup of new releases looks to be one of the best in some time. NEW YORK—Even as the general retail market was buffeted by disruption in 2018, the U.S. optical retail sector held its own, even managing to show growth of 2 percent to 3 percent for the calendar year. In 2004, he decided to combine his love for both fields and created Sight Gags Cartoons in an effort to share some of the quirky encounters he experienced with patients. “I had a funny moment that happened during an eye exam and I made a doodle about it on our patient schedule. The staff liked it so much that I started making Sight Gags Cartoons,” he said.
