NEW YORK—Even in some areas where ECPs are still seeing patients or providing emergency or urgent care, eye clinics are experiencing unwanted and nerve-wracking downtime in the current coronavirus crisis, the team at EyeCarePro.net  points out. To help ODs learn ways they can use the downtime to help them effectively plan for the future, EyeCarePro's team hosted a Facebook LIVE event last week. EyeCarePro covered such topics as using time to, make great videos, develop your social media skills and strategy, plan new approaches for optical campaigns and build up referrals networks.


Further, to help ECPs keep their patients engaged, EyeCarePro late last week just launched a new COVID-19 practice campaign. It includes help to explain "essential vs non-essential" visits and reminders about blue light and endless TV time. It also includes a free coloring kit for patients, featuring Iris the One-Eyed Monster. The toolkit includes the text for posts to be used as is or to be easily edited with a practice's own changes.
