ALEXANDRIA, Va.—On Oct. 23, Think About Your Eyes launched a new initiative, #SeeBeyond2020, to collect stories from individuals about a comprehensive eye exam that changed their lives. The goal is to emphasize that vision health means more than just 20/20, that an annual comprehensive eye exam can not only help people see more clearly, but can also detect health problems.

This will be a social media campaign, for the most part, but will also have eblasts and communications sent through TAYE vision industry media partners. For more information, please visit: https://www.thevisioncouncil.org/seebeyond2020-entries. One story will win $1,000. TAYE is encouraging its supporters and ECPs to repost its contest posts from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The group also has a new LinkedIn page.

TAYE said, "We know that there will be a lot of emphasis on the year 2020, but we want to end this year and lead into next year by sharing that Think About Your Eyes is committed to encouraging people to prioritize their eye and vision health for the long-term."

Think About Your Eyes is a national public awareness campaign, presented by The Vision Council and the American Optometric Association, designed to educate the public on the benefits of vision health and promote the importance of getting an annual comprehensive eye exam.
