Last weekend, Denmark National Team soccer player Christian Erikson collapsed on the field in the middle of a game during the UEFA European Championship due to cardiac arrest. Thankfully, Erikson has made a recovery, in large part due to the CPR provided by his teammates and medical staff on the field. CPR is something that we can all learn to help save lives, and with soccer being such a massive worldwide phenomenon, there's no better time than now for a refresh. Tottenham Hotspur, Erikson's former team, shared some information from the British Heart Foundation on how to provide CPR in an emergency. Head over to the British Heart Foundation for more. In the U.S., the Red Cross also offers information about CPR, including resources to sign up for training.
