Quick Take: Ørgreen is debuting seven new titanium frames under the Modern Functionalism header. The frames, both for women and men, are named after either city landmarks, modernist architects, or the city that birthed the Bauhaus.
Specifics: The seven new styles are: Shard, a female optical frame in a pin-up style named after London’s iconic Shard Building; Pomp, a female cat-eye optical named after Paris’ controversial Centre Pompidou; Dessau, a male optical frame with rounded edges named after the German town that spawned the Bauhaus; Louisiana, a small, sleek square frame with round edges named after the Danish modern art museum; Cambron, a smaller version of Ørgreen’s bestselling Vanderbilt; Klein, named after the Klein Dytham architects, a small female frame with a flat edge and thin temples; and finally Lloyd, named for Frank Lloyd Wright, an aviator for men without the traditional double bridge and featuring soldered temples.
Selling Point: Ørgreen’s newest titanium frames draw inspiration from modern architecture and show off the simple elegance of their design.
