Quick Take: Luxottica’s Ray-Ban hosted a series of #ProudtoBelong concerts this summer in partnership with The Surf Lodge to celebrate new releases of some of their most classic styles.
Specifics: These new releases are Wings II, Square, and Wayfarer. Wings II, Ray-Ban’s 80s legend has been reimagined with a bold squared mono-lens shape and flashy shades. It features flat temples, a flat double bridge, and the Wings II logo on the lens. The oversized Ray-Ban Square is a 70s look redesigned with a simple metal construction and new Evolve lenses in gradient shades. Finally, the events also celebrated Ray-Ban’s iconic Wayfarer shape, available in a wide array of colors, patterns, and materials.
Selling Point: With performances from Lykke Li, St. Lucia, and Daya, the Ray-Ban #ProudtoBelong summer series focused on vulnerability and empathy, passion and joy, and confidence and pride: three key sentiments that reflect the brand’s essence.
