CINCINNATI—MidWest Eye Center is the new corporate name for the large practice group previously known as Tri-State Centers for Sight, according to a recent announcement. MidWest Eye Center, a regional leader in eyecare with 17 board-certified ophthalmologists and eight optometrists, operates 18 facilities (including two high-tech surgery centers) across Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. It provides diagnostic, surgical and non-surgical treatment for eye diseases and is at the forefront of LASIK vision correction procedures. The new name “allows us to better represent our commitment to providing our patients with the best eyecare possible,” the group noted in its announcement earlier this month.

The corporate group acquired the original MidWest Eye Center practice in 2015, and at that time established it as a division of Tri-State Centers for Sight. The change in branding and name from Tri-State Centers for Sight to MidWest Eye Center acknowledges the name recognition MidWest Eye Center has had throughout the region, the announcement noted.

Customers, vendors, suppliers and partners will find no change in the quality of service communication or leadership that they have become accustomed to. The announcement added, “The move to MidWest Eye Center enriches name recognition and establishes brand continuity.”

Joe Sgro, practice administrator, said, “This is an exceptional change for our company, marking a strategic pivot for our future as eyecare specialists. Our commitment to the community we serve and the quality of service we provide will not change, and now we have a stronger foundation for incredible growth in the future.”

The new name is effective immediately and is being implemented across the company’s consumer- and vendor-facing interactions. The group has already launched its newly branded website and previously initiated a new 2020 marketing strategy featuring “New Year, New View.”
