Services Held for 10/10 Optics' Dr. Stephen Rozenberg

NEW YORK—Services were held here late last month for Dr. Stephen Rozenberg, 74, who passed away on March 21. Dr. Rozenberg practiced optometry for more than 45 years. He and Ruth Domber, great friends and business partners, first met when they worked at Hillman Kohan vision center, where Rozenberg was an OD and Domber was the managing optician. Together they co-founded what was to become 10/10 Optics, a pioneering optical boutique, originally located at 1010 Second Avenue here, in 1979. The two ultimately got married. They opened a location in Jamaica Estates, Queens and another on 21st Street on Fifth Avenue. Eventually they sold those locations and relocated to their current 10/10 Optics office at 26th and Madison, always integrating optometry and opticianry.

Rozenberg was a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry. He believed passionately in creating healthy, sustainable vision solutions for his patients. He was a leader in custom contact lens design. He was also board certified in Ortho-Keratology (also known as corneal reshaping) by the International Ortho-Keratology Section of the National Eye Research Foundation. Rozenberg was a diplomat of the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy.

For those interested to do so, donations in Dr. Rozenberg's memory can be made to DOROT, a non-profit organization addressing the challenges of an aging population with a range of programs and services.
