MADISON, Wis.—Rev360, an eyecare software and business services company, announced this week that it has acquired EyeDock, a leading online clinical reference for optometry. In addition, EyeDock founder Todd Zarwell, OD, has been named to the Rev360 ECP leadership team, according to the announcement. EyeDock.com is a subscription-based optometry resource featuring a comprehensive database of contact lens parameters, clinical calculators, a topical ophthalmic medicine database, GP lenses and a refracting tutorial and simulator, according to the Rev360 announcement. EyeDock.com has an active subscriber base of nearly 3,000 ECPs, according to its website, and is “poised for continued growth with…an unbeatable value-proposition for eyecare professionals.” The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

While continuing to advance the EyeDock website and database, Dr. Zarwell will apply his optometric and technological experience as a product manager tasked with refining the doctor-facing aspects of RevolutionEHR, according to Rev360. “I’m excited to join Rev360 and support the efforts of practices and doctors to help streamline patient care experiences and enhance the RevolutionEHR software platform,” Dr. Zarwell said in the announcement.

Rev360 chief executive officer Scott Jens, OD, said the addition of Zarwell to the company’s ECP leadership team is “invaluable.” He added, “His expertise and knowledge provides immeasurable resources in further developing the RevolutionEHR software platform and delivering Rev360 business services to our customers.”
