BLOOMINGTON, Ill.—Keplr Vision has announced this week three new partnerships with eyecare practices in three separate key markets across the U.S. The practices and ECPs joining the Keplr Vision group are: Dr. Summy To of MyOptic Optometry in Portland, Ore.; Dr. Lee Ann Hoven of Advanced Eyecare in Durango, Colo., and Dr. Joanne Reed of Visionary Eye Care at Murabella in St. Augustine, Fla. The terms of the transactions with the three practices were not disclosed. With the new partnerships, Keplr Vision now has 170 eyecare and optical practice locations across the U.S.

MyOptic Optometry’s three offices are amongst 18 Keplr partnerships in Oregon, Advanced Eyecare is its 10th practice location in Colorado, and Visionary Eyecare is the first partnership for Keplr Vision in Florida.

“We are more than excited to welcome these three talented doctors to Keplr Vision,” Keplr Vision chief medical officer Dr. Ben Gaddie said in the announcement. “While geographically diverse, these providers share both the Keplr Vision and my personal philosophy of the practice of optometry as a cornerstone in our patients’ health care needs.”

Dr. To created MyOptic Optometry’s first office in Portland’s North Williams area in 2010 with a vision for “a unique brand that came to life in the details inside the office and outreach efforts in the community,” the announcement noted. The Burnside office followed in 2014, and Sellwood opened in 2017. Dr. To noted that she and her team are proud of the connections they have made with their patients and the neighborhoods in which they are located.

“We work hard to be true to our brand and what we have created,” she said. “Our practice’s authenticity is extremely important to us, and we wanted to make sure that would remain intact. We know that in partnership with Keplr Vision, it will.”

Added Claude Labeeuw, Keplr Vision’s chief growth officer, “We are extremely proud to have Dr. To join our strong network of optometrists in Oregon.”

In Colorado, Dr. Hoven purchased Advanced Eyecare in Durango in 2008, after practicing for more than 20 years with Texas State Optical, and grew the established office to new heights, attracting patients from the nearby communities.

Visionary Eye Care at Murabella, founded by Dr. Reed in 2011, is Keplr Vision’s first partnership in Florida. Located in St. Augustine, Dr. Reed opened her practice after spending 15 years providing pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgical patients.

“When I began my career, my goal was to practice medical optometry and share my knowledge and experience with others to help them grow,” Dr. Reed explained. “In Keplr Vision, I’ve found a home that will allow me to do both of those things.”

Keplr Vision chief executive officer Nick Williams said, “Dr. Reed’s experience within medically focused optometric care is a great addition to our network of partner doctors. We wholeheartedly welcome Dr. Reed and her practice to Keplr Vision.”

Keplr Vision, with more than 170 practices across 30 states, brings together private practice optometrists who focus on pushing the practice of optometry forward. Through a collaborative partnership, Keplr Vision offers OD partners robust business support services and supply chain management, allowing doctors to focus on their practice and their patients while retaining their legacy.

Keplr Vision was formed in July 2019 when two portfolio companies of Canada’s Imperial Capital—Total ECP and Visionary Eye Partners—merged to operate as a combined entity under the Keplr name.
