GREENVILLE, S.C.—Eye Health America (EHA), a leading eyecare practice management organization in the Southeast, has announced a new partnership with Drs. William Milford and Marion K. Williams of The Eye Care Center, an established, full-service optometric practice with locations in Anderson, Piedmont, and Williamston, S.C. The three-location practice, which has been serving patients for over 50 years, will unite and rebrand with EHA’s Clemson Eye group, upstate SC’s leading provider of advanced eyecare, according to an announcement this week. The terms of the new partnership were not disclosed.

“I am very enthused to partner with Eye Health America and Clemson Eye,” Dr. Williams said in the announcement. “My goal has always been to provide my patients with the undivided attention they deserve along with a superior level of care. This partnership will allow me to do this more effectively by offering more advanced eyecare technologies and devoting less time to office administration. My staff and I look forward to the seamless transition and exciting future with EHA.”

EHA’s partnership with the Eye Care Center supports its goal to build an integrated network of top eyecare practices and ambulatory surgical centers across the Southeast, according to the announcement. EHA is a portfolio company of LLR Partners.

“These wonderful doctors and teams will strengthen our ability to deliver excellence in all-things-eyes and meet patient demand specifically in Anderson and Greenville counties,” Mary Lou Parisi, co-chief executive of Eye Health America, said. “We look forward to ensuring our new partners have all they need to focus on what they do best; caring for patients.”

EHA has seen substantial growth in the past three years, and now is composed of 27 locations, six ambulatory surgical centers and more than 800 employees. Since its formation in March 2018, EHA has increased its network to include more than 60 eyecare providers. The organization plans to continue investing in technology and services that create value, including patient engagement technology and revenue cycle management, according to this week’s announcement.

Eye Health America was formed in 2018 by LLR Partners, a lower mid-market private equity firm, and is led by an experienced team of eyecare veterans, including Parisi and the co-chief executive John Swencki. The chief medical officer is Cathleen McCabe, MD, and chief development officer is Philip Isham.
