NORFOLK, Va.—Advancing Eyecare, the U.S. distributor of ophthalmic instruments and high-tech instrumentation to ophthalmologists and optometrists, has acquired Ophthalmic Instruments Inc. (OII), a leading distributor of quality ophthalmic instruments, according to an announcement Wednesday. Advancing Eyecare was formed in 2019 by Atlantic Street Capital in partnership with Lombart Instrument and Marco Ophthalmic, as VMAIL reported.The terms of the deal were not disclosed. In August, Advancing Eyecare announced the acquisition of Ophthalmic Instruments & Consulting Company, an expert and supplier of classical and diagnostic equipment in the Pacific Northwest, as VMAIL reported. 
 
Ophthalmic Instruments, a family-owned and operated business since 1977, is a distributor of a comprehensive line of ophthalmic products, including Topcon, Haag-Streit, Reliance, Marco, Reichert and others. The company has four physical locations strategically located in California, Arizona and Colorado, and it provides its customers with professionally trained sales and field service representatives in eight states, including California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Hawaii, New Mexico and Wyoming.
