DALLAS—Acuity Eyecare Group, a portfolio company of Riata Capital Group, has completed its third deal this week with the announcement Wednesday that it has acquired Gale’s Vision Source, a single-location practice in Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Gale’s Vision Source has served the community since 1973 with an experienced team of compassionate eyecare professionals offering a range of comprehensive products and services, according to an announcement Wednesday. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Earlier this week, Riata announced that Acuity had acquired two Pittsburgh-area eyecare practices, Eyes on Regent Square (in Pittsburgh) and Clear Vision Family Eyecare, a single-location practice based in Mars, Pa. (north of Pittsburgh), in separate deals, as VMAIL reported.

Acuity expects to expand to more than 150 locations by early 2020, the announcement noted. The company currently owns more than 100 eyecare practice locations across eight states, which operate under 10 different local brands. Acuity also owns a large, full-service digital lab operation, The First Look Lab, near St. Louis.

“We are very pleased with our recent acquisition of Gale’s Vision Source,” Acuity Eyecare chief executive officer Eric Anderson said in the announcement. “They are a natural addition to the Acuity portfolio as their long-standing reputation for providing high-quality, patient-focused services makes them a perfect fit with our team’s vision as caring eyecare providers in our local communities.”

“We are excited to share the news of our continued portfolio expansion and proud to have Gale’s Vision Source join our Acuity team,” added Acuity vice president of corporate development Bret Davis.

Dr. David J. Gale, OD, founded Gale’s Vision Source in 1973, and the practice offers comprehensive eye exams and several cutting-edge vision care services, including pediatric eye health care, dry eye relief, eye disease treatment and orthokeratology.
