Frank Azor
MINNEAPOLIS—Eyesafe, a supplier of blue light technology and standards for the consumer electronics industry, announced that gaming pioneer Frank Azor, a co-founder of Alienware, the PC gaming hardware brand, has joined its board of directors. Azor, who serves as the chief architect of gaming solutions at high-performance computing company AMD, brings decades of experience that span technology, personal computing and gaming. As an Eyesafe board member, Azor will share insights on why blue light protection is essential for gamers, how protection can be integrated into gaming hardware, and why he feels a personal responsibility to accelerate adoption of Eyesafe technology in today's digitally-connected world. His expertise will guide the Eyesafe’s thinking in designing display panels, along with eye doctors and brand partners HP, Dell, Acer, Lenovo, LG Display, and BOE, the largest display panel manufacturer in the world, a company spokesperson said.

Prior to joining AMD in 2019, Azor served as vice president and general manager for the premium consumer product lines at Dell Technologies, including the XPS line of premium products, GSeries, and Alienware gaming systems. Prior to Dell, Azor served as a senior executive with Alienware, where he was one of the original co-founders of the iconic line of gaming PCs.
