L'Amy America's Norwalk, Connecticut-based customer service team is working remotely and remains available to take orders online, via email at support@lamyamerica.com or via phone at 800/USA-LAMY. The company's distribution center is shipping orders twice a week with a skeleton staff while following strict social distancing, protection, and sanitation protocols. In a statement, the company said, "Our priority is the safety and health of our L'Amy family and of our customers and together we will get through this difficult period. We wish everyone and their loved ones in our wonderful industry good health and please, stay safe."


The Vision Council will host the first in a new series of webinars this Thursday, April 9 with representatives from international law firm, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. The webinar, Eyewear Industry & COVID-19: What Your Business Needs to Know to Successfully Plan, Respond and Navigate Coronavirus, will delve into the intricacies of the recent U.S. legislation. A Q&A session will take place following the webinar.

Topics include:

• Overview of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
• Families First Coronavirus Response Act: key provisions for eyewear businesses.
• Economic relief for the eyewear industry.
• The Vision Council’s role in supporting and protecting the optical industry.
