TAMPA, Fla.—The newly formed managed services organization Clear Sight Partners (CSP) recently appointed Tina Farrell to the executive management team as vice president of optical retail operations. The move comes only five months after private equity firm Spanos Barber Jesse & Co. (SBJ) announced that it had completed a partnership that included five existing vision care practices with 16 locations, some operating in the area for more than 35 years. VMAIL reported on the formation of Clear Sight Partners in January, and the deal marked SBJ’s entry into the optical sector.

Clear Sight Partners is now one of the largest vertically integrated vision care providers in the West and Central Florida area.
 
At the time the new organization was formed, Farrell served in one of those practices, Opti-mart. She had been with the practice for more than 14 years, 10 of which were as vice president for all nine locations across five counties in the Bay area. She began her career as an optician for a medical optometry office more than 33 years ago, according to the announcement.
 
“Tina has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to both optical retail operations and leadership,” Brian Hauser, chief executive officer of CSP, said. “Her history building relationships with our team members, opticians, physicians, manufacturers and other valuable partners sets her up for tremendous success as she works to integrate and grow our optical retail side of the business.”
 
Since taking on her new role, Farrell and her team have increased optical retail sales by 23 percent over 2019, the announcement noted.
 
Farrell joins an experienced executive management team that Hauser has built over the past few months. Together, they will integrate the five brands to ensure a positive and seamless experience across an entire spectrum of vision health solutions, from eyecare to eyewear, including ophthalmology, optometry, optical procedures and related surgeries.
 
Clear Sight Partners’ medical practices are Pasadena Eye and Surgical Center, Eye Associates of Pinellas, Gulf Coast Retina Services, Ryczek Eye Associates, Vision Specialty Associates and Opti-mart.
