HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.—SightMD, a leading multi-specialty ophthalmology platform and a portfolio company of Chicago Pacific Founders, said Wednesday it has formed a “strategic partnership” with Westchester Eye Associates (WEA), a leading ophthalmology practice in Westchester County (New York state). The partnership expands SightMD's growing presence in Westchester, adding two locations and eight providers, and increases SightMD's footprint to 37 locations and more than 80 providers across the New York Tristate area. The partnership with WEA represents the 10th practice to join SightMD since it partnered with Chicago Pacific Founders in September 2018, according to the announcement.

"As my partners and I contemplated our practice's future, our goal was to partner with a patient-focused practice on the cutting edge of ophthalmology to enable us expand on our legacy of providing clinically excellent care to the Westchester community," WEA’s Seth Potash, MD, said in the announcement. "We could not have found a more aligned partner than SightMD and believe that our practice is now better positioned to deliver care to our patients as the ophthalmic industry continues its evolution."

Westchester Eye Associates, founded in 1973, has been a longstanding pillar of Westchester County for more than 40 years, the announcement noted. WEA employs approximately 45 support staff across its two locations in Harrison, N.Y., and Yonkers, N.Y.

SightMD president and co-founder Jeffrey Martin said the management group is “honored and thrilled” to partner with WEA and looks forward to supporting WEA and its partners as “they expand their leadership position in Westchester County."

WEA will continue to provide its patients with high-quality, convenient eye care across ophthalmic subspecialties, including cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, oculoplastic and pediatric care.
