WESTBURY, N.Y.—Match Eyewear has announced the signing of a licensing agreement with JR Apparel World for the development and distribution of the first-ever eyewear collection for the iconic 1980s brand Members Only. The Members Only tagline, "when you put it on... something happens," sparked a major trend in men's fashion in the 1980s, Match Eyewear said. Thirty five years later, the lifestyle brand, most famous for its iconic racer jacket loved by celebrities and the general public alike, is having a resurgence.

Ethan Goodman, Match Eyewear president, said, “Growing up, there was nothing cooler than having a Members Only jacket. The opportunity to create the very first Members Only eyewear collection allows us to take that nostalgic feeling and express it within the latest eyewear trends.”

Ron Malhotra, managing partner at JR Apparel World, said, “Our efforts in growing the Members Only brand lead us to Match Eyewear. We were looking for a partner who is a leader in their field to help us launch an eyewear collection that is representative of the Members Only brand”

The initial Members Only eyewear collection will feature fashion-forward styles in a 12-color palette range and will debut at Vision Expo East in New York City in March 2020.
