As a result of these upgrades, lab production will increase by 25 percent. “We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality products and the fastest turnaround time. This recent expansion will allow us to run more efficient production cycles,” said Plastic Plus vice president Jason Faibish.

The new line will include several pieces of new and innovative lens manufacturing equipment.

● Additional engraver
● Additional de-blocker
● Additional de-taper

Plastic Plus remains Canada’s largest independent optical lab, providing lenses to eyecare providers across North America and internationally. The recent expansion has allowed the company to increase lens production capacity and provide customers with a higher level of service and quality.

“We are running the lab 18 hours a day and this expansion will allow us to increase our throughput and our quality,” said Faibish.
