MINNEAPOLIS—OGI Eyewear celebrated 25 years in business on Dec. 15, 2022. Founded in 1997 in Minnesota, the indie eyewear brand now celebrates its bold, colorful approach in product and branding, blending high-fashion compositions with vivid palettes, dynamic designs and a unique Minnesotan perspective. Over the past two and a half decades, OGI has also dedicated itself toward innovation in the eyewear industry, including with its Virtual Try-On technology. One of the founding members of the Optical Foundry, OGI remains committed to serving independent practices. The company also supports various optical and health non-profits through its Eye See You giving program.

Rob Rich, CEO of OGI Eyewear, said, “As we celebrate our 25th year in business, it’s gratifying and satisfying to look back on the path we’ve taken. OGI Eyewear was started to fill a void in the eyewear landscape—specifically when it came to frames. We started specializing in smaller frames with color and personality. We quickly grew to cover a broad range of frame sizes while still staying true to our primary reason for existence: crafting trend-setting, intelligent designs and color creations that fill unanswered demand in the market.

"This remains our passion and our daily goal. This consistent commitment will propel us for another 25 years,” Rich said. The company has shared a celebratory video on its YouTube channel here.

Moving into 2023, OGI Eyewear has adopted the motto “The Future Is Now!” and debuted its new Piece of Pie customer service program. The company is planning an upcoming mobile app release, new product designs and a suite of partnerships.
