NEW YORK—Jobson Research’s 2022 Eye Care Professional Income study is now available. This annual study provides ECPs with information regarding income all across the industry. It includes average income information for optometrists, opticians/dispensers, and optical office managers in the U.S. In addition, there is a full comparison of male and female incomes broken out across all demographics. The report shows 2021 income data broken down by various demographics including family status, years of experience, business type, private equity owned, ECP owned, supervisory role, pay structure and more.

There are also additional gender profiles for average hours worked per week, negotiation of salary and benefits, employment in 2021 and income satisfaction.

The information is broken down in charts and tables which ECPs can use to benchmark their compensation policies against the national and regional variances. The study was produced by Jobson Optical Research.
