Morel Launches the First Lightec Sunwear Collection

Quick Take: Morel Eyewear USA has introduced the first Lightec sun collection.

Specifics:
The new Lightec sun collection launched with six models, all of which are available in gloss or matte galvanized finishes.
Selling Points: In keeping consistent with the entire Lightec collection, the sun collection features the brand’s exclusive, patented springless and screwless Alpha hinge design. The Alpha hinge means all models are 100 percent screwless and weld-free and are produced by folding one piece of sheet metal. All of the new Lightec sun frames include polarized CAT 3 lenses, while the temple tips feature injected grey or black rubber inserted into the core with the word “polarized” hollow molded on the inside of the right temple tip and “registered design” on the left one.

Altair Debuts Revlon Spring 2013 Collection

Quick Take: Altair has introduced new styles for women in to the Revlon Eyewear collection for Spring 2013 featuring colors inspired by the latest Revlon nail enamel collection.
Specifics:
Six new ophthalmic styles, two metals, two acetate and two combinations, in three colors for each style.
Selling Points:
New this season are the RV5014, a semi-rimless milled metal style, and the RV5015, a full-rim stainless steel style, both inspired by Revlon’s signature lipstick case with a cross-hatch pattern on both temples. The RV5016 is a full-rim acetate style featuring crystals to give the modern shape subtle sparkle and shine, while the RV5017 is a full-rim stainless steel combination frame inspired by jewelry design with a two-ring cast metal detail accented by sparkled enamel and crystals. Lastly, the RV5018 is a full-rim acetate style and the RV5019 is a semi-rimless stainless steel combination frame both featuring a delicate enamel-filled cast metal flower and subtle cross-hatch texture.

Quick Take: Switch Vision has launched two more full frames – bringing the Switch Collection to 21 styles in total. 

Specifics:
The Axo and Lynx are designed to appeal to a unisex consumer and both are available in plano polarized lenses or can be fit with prescription lenses.
Selling Points:
In their third year of sales, Switch is making headway as a performance sunglass collection with magnetic interchange technology. The Axo and Lynx both introduce sporty overmolds and unique color combinations. The Axo is available in three colors – crystal cool grey, polar white and shiny black and has a large fit size.
