SECAUCUS, N.J.—Safilo Group has unveiled the spring/summer 2019 launch of the Rebecca Minkoff eyewear collection which will make its official debut in March at Vision Expo East. Building on the brand’s Holiday 2018 exclusive 10-piece sun launch, the spring/summer 2019 collection for the three Os market will include a total of 18 sunglass styles. The brand will also launch its first-ever optical collection this spring with 14 optical frames.

The Rebecca Minkoff eyewear collection embodies the contradictions and plurality of modern femininity. The product category adds a new dimension to the brand’s focus on bringing out everyone’s confidence. “The launch of our eyewear collection is a truly special moment for the brand. It’s a category we’ve been looking to expand into, and we’re thrilled to be embracing this next step with Safilo as our key partner and leader in this industry,” said Rebecca Minkoff, co-founder and creative director of her namesake brand.

Some style highlights include the Brooke which is a 1950s inspired cat eye silhouette. This frame features star-shaped stud accents in custom acetate colorways. The Gloria is a round metal style with an acetate rim and custom temples finished off with color coordinating temple tips while the new Stevie model is a classic aviator model elevated with “Love Is Love” lasered on the top left rim. The Tilden is a stylish cat eye silhouette that is topped off with iconic round-shaped studded accents on its temples.
