Quick Take: Ray-Ban from Luxottica launched a creative hub that celebrates self-expression called Ray-Ban Studios in June 2018. Now, Ray-Ban Studios has embarked on the brand’s first-ever product collaboration with Moscow-based artist, Nina Kraviz.
Specifics: Siberian-born DJ, producer, singer-songwriter and label owner Nina Kraviz is one of the most revered DJs in the international electronic scene. The limited edition capsule collection “Nina” of 300 pieces per two styles, launched on Sept. 10. The styles are available on Ray-Ban.com and in selected Ray-Ban stores.
Selling Points: The Nina x Orange Safari ( RB4314N 12693F) style channels the artist's experimental approach to music and art. Kraviz selected a light blue, gradient lens with the speckled Beige Havana frame. The orange temple is an unexpected, retro take on the vintage classic. The Ray-Ban Studios signature logo pops on the orange temple. Nina x Eye Green (RB4314N 12703L) is a statement style that reflects Kraviz’s own artistic style and sensibility. The washed yellow lens contrasts with the green temple. The yellow Havana frame enhances the vintage-inspired look. The exclusive Nina Kraviz branding marks the inside of one temple tip, pairing with the Ray-Ban Studios signature logo on the other. "I love things being special, authentic and unique. I have always dreamed of making my own sunglasses," Kraviz said.
