LINTHICUM, Md.—Versant Health, the national managed eye health and vision-plan company formed in 2017 through the combination of Davis Vision and Superior Vision, has named Jeff Hermosillo as executive vice president of sales, marketing and client management.Hermosillo will oversee all aspects of sales, including government, third party and commercial sales, and he is responsible for Versant Health’s marketing and the management, expansion and renewal of client relationships, according to an announcement Monday. He also will play a key role in Versant Health’s messaging and direction.

“We are excited to have a leader of Jeff’s caliber join Versant Health,” chief executive officer Kirk Rothrock said in the announcement. “We are in the process of integrating Davis Vision and Superior Vision under Versant Health and carving a path for a whole new frontier in vision care, where our eyes are the windows to our health and vision care is inseparable from total care. Jeff’s unique experiences will enable him to play a key role in this effort.”

Hermosillo is a 25-year health care and employee benefits industry veteran, beginning his career at Kaiser Permanente and moving to leadership roles at United Health Group and Blue Shield of California. His most recent positions have been at MCG Health and Collective Health — organizations focused on using technology to improve healthcare interactions and outcomes. He holds degrees in economics and sociology from Stanford University, according to the announcement.
