PINELLAS PARK, Fla.—Transitions Optical is hosting an education tour for eyecare professionals in conjunction with the launch of Transitions Signature GEN 8 lenses. The tour, billed as “Lunch. Learn. Explore,” will visit Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and Washington D.C. It coincides with the 29Rooms city tour, an annual immersive festival of style, culture and creativity sponsored by Transitions Optical and other corporate partners. The Transitions educational events includes an ABO technical credit and admission to a 29Rooms event.

Lunch and parking are also provided. Attendees will earn an ABO technical credit for the new course, “Light Management: The Need for Ocular Solutions.” This course about the newest light management and ocular solutions available for both eyeglass and contact lens wearers will be presented by Keith Smithson, OD, a concussion rehabilitation and sports vision enhancement specialist with the Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry. Attendees will continue their education through a creative exploration of Transitions Signature GEN 8 within 29Rooms Expand Your Reality Tour. The event is pertinent to both opticians and doctors.

The 2019 29Rooms tour complements popular marquee events in New York and Los Angeles, which have welcomed more than 100,000 visitors from around the world since the event series first launched in 2015. According to the tour’s producer, , the “Expand Your Reality” experience will create “new, bold and thought-provoking moments” involving a collaboration with “global artists, creators, visionaries, meaningful causes, and brands.” Each room will put the audience at the center of the event with hands-on activities and several phone-free experiences, sparking engagement and igniting self-expression, storytelling and dialogue, Refinery29 said.
