BELLEGARDE-SUR-VALSERINE, France—Essilor Sun Solution, the Essilor Group division dedicated to sun plano lenses, and the European Institute of Design have announced that the first phase of the E-Sun Kolor Up project has successfully concluded and that the best project proposals will be awarded at Silmo 2017 in Paris.

Since the beginning of the year, 13 students from the European Institute of Design have been developing concept frames, communication campaigns and marketing tools based on E-Sun Kolor Up, an Essilor Sun Solution brand and lens technology. Each of the students from the Institute’s Jewelry and Accessories Design program presented several proposals, three of which have been selected to receive awards.

To reward the students for their effort and creativity, Essilor Sun Solution and the European Institute of Design also announced that 13 other proposals, one from each participant, will compete in an online design contest. From May to September, people will be able to vote for their favorite project on the Essilor Sun Solution website.

The web page presents more information about the students’ approach and the inspiration behind their designs. The student with the most online votes will be awarded the “Digital Media Mention” during the award ceremony at Silmo 2017.
